ALEX

One of the main factors in development is always EDUCATION. That is why I chose to educate myself as a teacher. This principle applies, regardless whether you are in Africa, Europe or USA. Because the role of the teacher is to develop the full potential in the students, and thus he/she has a major influence on the personal development of that person.
The second important role of a teacher is, of course to share knowledge. And in that process, I always realize that teaching is not a one-way process. I learn as much from my students as they learn from me. That I find very fulfilling. Therefore I have dedicated myself to be a teacher.
JANIS

In Lindersvold come people with different aims to go to Africa - someone wants to escape from routine, someone wants to turn her/ his life upside-down, someone needs to find solution for life and someone… There are so many different reasons, but I believe that in each of ones that come here, lives bigger or smaller wish to help people and this makes them to be the best people in the world.
Why I’m here... to be in- between these people and to be road sign for their way.
EIKE

I was part of February Team 2010 and I went as a Development Instructor to Zambia, Child Aid project in Serenje.
Before joining program I was media photographer and after that interior designer for years. I was living shallow life in a box from where I wanted to get out.
After Development Instructor program I decided to continue development work.
I joined TG because I wanted more to explore the world, to feel and to learn about other cultures, to see different colours, different shapes, to feel the flavours, to hear other ideas, to make a difference and to learn more about equality. I’m curious to see various lifestyles, learn more about other people and share my experiences and knowledge with them. Here I can work with people who have the same aim in life, to face the same challenges, struggles and achieve the goals together.
YOLANDA

Hello!!! I'm Yolanda Florescu and I'm from Romania!
Before coming here, for many years I've learnt how to fight for people and for their rights, but only helping them as lawyer or touching their hearts as painter was not enough for me, I was happy, but not fulfilled.
I want, I need to share my richness - my practical skills and all my knowledge - with those who really are in need.
This is the way I chose and this is the best place to start – simple clothes, simple room, simple food – but, less is more, that's why I preferred this instead of glamour - working hard till the moment I'll see the African Sun rising, and...
I WILL HAVE IT !!!
I will have IT and I promised to myself I'll make also the others enjoying every second under ITS brightness!!!
And this will be my biggest treasure!
ALEXANDRA

Hey! I’m Alexandra from Romania.
I love music, people and I like to travel.
All I want is to give a smile to the World.
Remember: ”Life is a journey, Not a destination!”.
