| A typical health post. Most are staffed only by nurses. The most common illnesses in the province are malaria, diarreia, anemia and sexually transmitted diseases. | The town of Chai was the site of the first armed attack against the Portuguese in 1964. A small group of Mozambican soldiers took part in this attack, which signalled the start of the war for independance. |
